Help local children secure safe and permanent homes! CASA volunteers, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, give a two-year commitment to investigate, examine, and recommend to the Juvenile Court the best option for a safe and permanent home for the children assigned to them. The actions of one trained and empowered volunteer ensure that every child can thrive in the safe embrace of a loving home.
The mission of CASA of Jackson County is to provide specially trained community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the pursuit of safe and permanent homes.
Founded in 1990, CASA of Jackson County is a non-profit organization responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting the work of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers. CASA volunteers do what no one else does: they donate their time to act as independent eyes and ears of the court and speak solely for the best interest of children and youth in the custody of DHS.
Funds would be used to recruit, train, and manage volunteers to serve each child on CASA's wait list.
